Martin Randal Travel just got the premiere treatment from none other than Not Just A Phase. Their split with Sulfur (their premiere was last week via This Noise Is Ours, linked here and embedded below) releases on Tomb Tree this Monday February 24th on 52 tapes. Vancouver’s Smush just released their 3rd music video from ‘if you were here i’d be home now’ and we’re down to the absolute last copies of the first pressing. This was CanaDave’s album of the year in 2024! 2 left on the Softseed bandcamp, 2 in the Canada store, and 22 in the U.S. store. Zero chance these are still around by summer so snag now or forever hold your peace.

Belted Sweater got the good’ole OMSB premiere treatment with the final single “More Rack Toms (than people in the audience)” and it’s amazing. It’s different. By golly it’s a bit strange at first, but like CanaDave you will likely become enamored with this incredible glam skramz solo project from LA. Full tape release is this Friday the 21st of February on Softseed Music (but we’ll have a few copies too) and Self Versed Records. The Coma Of Eris debut album immediately caught the eye of the almighty Stereogum who were kind enough to do a little write-up of it. Tapes have been ordered and will arrive in mid-March, after which CanaDave will decorate and they should be released late March/early April. Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: YELLFIRE = I knew nothing about this band when I played with them, but they played as a three-piece and blew us all away. After the set we were informed that they were missing a guitar player at that show and everyone’s jaws broke the fuck off. They’re like Botch x Kollapse. Amazing.

2024 - 10 - 23 /// Senza then Concealer

Alright y’all, Senza’s new 12”EP ‘Celestial Body’ is the next ZBR release and it all goes down on November 1st at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST. We did 500 copies alongside our long-time pals at Dog Knights Productions: 200 pink/blue/black merge, 150 pink, and 150 blue, all with etched b-side and 12-page lyric book. This thing looks incredible and we’ll have promo pics ready for next week, but for now here’s the cover art and a previously song from said five-track EP.

Orlando, Florida's Concealer released 'dissonance [all that keeps me away]' a few months back and it caught our attention immediately. Their take on metallic screamo was one that reminded us of greats like Dispensing Of False Halos and even Hopesfall, so we lined up those four EP songs alongside two brand new jams and will be releasing 'Heartfelt Entries' November 8th, 2024. Gxllium! released ‘Breakup songs’ on Tuesday and all of our tapes sold out in less than an hour. I’ve included pics so you can see them, but they’re out until all copies arrive at their homes, then I have three extra copies that I’ll put when I know it’s safe to. We’ll also be making more, at the very least tapes, and perhaps doing more formats. Spotify isn’t up yet but I’ll post it when I can.

Just a reminder that we made those Nuvolascura cds and there’s only a handful left and will be sold out before Halloween. The US store has a single copy of the ST and bandcamp has two, the new LP is sold out. Linked above (in stock) and below (sold out).

2024 - 10 - 13 /// Nuvolascura cds on Monday!

We’ve made cds of the two Nuvolascura full lengths (100 of each) alongside the band, but we’ve only got 25 of each! These release on Monday in both stores and our bandcamp, then it’s prep time before we absolutely pummel you with amazingness in November with new Senza, new Concealer, and new Gxllium!

This store got another distro update, this time with a lot of rando stuff and updates on long sold out releases. Definitely check our bandcamp for final copies shed by CanaDave including Iwroteyourhaikusaboutcannibalisminyouryearbook, Rainmaking, Blind Girls, In Loving Memory, and Komuso/Setsuko. There’s also a bunch of ZBR pencils & single items from Wax Vessel that we got some extra copies of, including the ZBR->WV logo switch shirt! We dropped the last 20-ish VHS tapes this morning. Judging from demand we can more but it’ll be a bit - probably post 2025 fest but we’ll make a bunch. US Dave posted a few new fest videos too, check out Onewaymirror and Nuvolascura below!
