Blue Youth tomorrow, Sutras on Wednesday!

Nuvolascura has a new album coming out in July. We will be co-releasing alongside the always awesome Icorrupt Records in Europe. It’s their heaviest material to date and oh my god it’s incredible.

Blue Youth’s sophomore 12”LP ‘Defeatist’ releases this Tuesday April 15th! We made 300 copies of this one (their debut LP was /200 and it’s sold out) and put’em on green wax, with The Ghost Is Clear Records co-releasing with us cuz they love the band as much as we do. Their new album definitely gets heavier than their previous material but retains the band’s sassy, rockin’ foundation. You can scope their final premiere in the most recent Operation X-Ray episode linked below (you’ll also find Lord Wrought and Mahria in there) for “Patient Patient”. Full release is Tuesday at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST!!!

Bloom Dream tapes are down to the literal last copies of the 2nd run, Bandcamp has a white and gold injection, while this store has a random and gold injection. Then we mad out…again.

Demersal has a new EP releasing in the fall but they’ve dropped a music video now cuz why the hell not? This song shows the band’s maturity and expansion into new genres as it isn’t just screamo, it’s also got some gorgeous clean singing as well as the heaviest gutteral growls to date, showcasing their ability to traverse new terrain and doing it well. We still have 7” copies left of their previous LP but I think we’re totally sold out of their 2024 12”.

The final Sutras song premiere went up on Foxy Digitalis a few days back and I just took promo pics for the tape variants. There’s 20 swirl, 10 yellow, 5 brown, and 3 test dips. Wicked post-hardcore with shoegaze and indie elements. Click on the pic below or this text to go to the premiere!

The ‘all you are is we’ 12”s have arrived at CanaDave’s house and by golly they look awesome. If you don’t like yellow or red you’re gonna get pissed, but for everyone else this color scheme fucking rocks. Includes lyrics insert and comes in a yellow inner jacket to really smack your senses. I also played with them last weekend and they destroyed. Their full set can be viewed above. Helluva time. Release show poster below

Avery Friedman got some love via Klof Mag for her ‘New Thing’ 12”LP releasing April 18th on Softseed. I’m obsessed with this thing and even have an upcoming podcast with her that should release sometime before the album drops in full. Absolutely stellar stuff. Adobe Homes released two new songs from the upcoming 12”LP that we’ll be helping release this summer/fall. This thing has been years in the works and it kicks so much ass. You can catch’em at ZBR Fest in May!

2025 - 04 - 08 /// Dagerman 12"s + Lord Wrought tapes!

Dagerman’s debut 12”LP ‘tragedie | VIVERE’ is officially shipping, as we got 40 of the 300 copies to spread across three stores so don’t expect them to hang around for too long. Sensational Italian screamo of the heavier variety, whilst still retaining a strong sense of dynamics and melody. Fans of Raein, La Quiete, Vibora, and Ojne need to scope this immediately.

'Mortis' by LORD WROUGHT is now on the Tomb Tree bandcamp with tapes shipping immediately. Their blend of hardcore, metal, sludge, and dare I say screamo is vicious, unrelenting, and downright evil. Oh and the tapes look sick. For fans of: Crossed, Crestfallen, and Portrayal Of Guilt.

Crossed was interviewed by Rockzone Mag and they are currently bouncing around Europe on tour. Click on the picture above for the interview, check out the tour dates below, and jam/buy that shit further down. 12”s should be arriving this month but we currently don’t have tracking.

Mourn Recif played at the final Linden House show this past Saturday and it was a blast. It was the first show with our new guitarist Josh who ran the house and also spends time in A Recorded Dawn (who also played) and Hose. Above you can see clips from the aforementioned bands as well as Emma Goldman and Coup D’etat, and below you can scope the full Mourn Recif set. I would personally recommend from Deers onward but you do you.

Emma Goldman has their release show on May 9th! Hopefully I’ll be there slingin’ extra records but I gotta see if I survive the ZBR Fest trip. Wicked bands, sick poster, amazing release, fantastic people. The Grind gave them some love which you can check out by clicking on the pic above or this text.

Our next release is the incredible Italian screamo debut from Dagerman on 12”LP this Monday April 7th (9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST) followed by Canadian noise rock/post-hardcore Blue Youth sophomore 12”LP on April 15th. Sinema emocore/metalcore 12”s for ‘After the Flatline’ drop and immediately sell out on April 22nd, followed by the epic first full length from the long-running BC screamo/emo-violence band Emma Goldman on April 28th.

Sutras got their second (of three) song premieres via Everything Is Noise for “Karma to Burn”. Their new six-song EP ‘The Crisis of Existence’ releases in full on April 16th!!! Also, Mourn Recif is playing and we’re closing with our brand new jam and it goes harder than anything we’ve ever played.

Lord Wrought’s ‘Mortis’ EP releases on Tomb Tree this Tuesday April 8th at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST on a small run of 54 gorgeous cassettes. This Vancouver-based hardcore/grind/metalcore/screamo crossover blew me away live so picking up the pressing from Yetzer Hara Records who has moved into a specific straight-edge hardcore pocket after a brief hiatus.

Coma Of Eris tapes are ready to ship! These just went live a few hours ago and ended up on some beautiful variants. We only have about 30 across both stores and bandcamp, with Middle Man taking only about 10.

Satsuma has been dominating our bandcamp sales, but for whatever reason people aren’t following the links to the store copies which are CHEAPER! Even shipping is cheaper. Buy from the bandcamp if you’d like but there are more variants in the stores. This 12-track debut full length releases in a month and a day, April 28th but you can come see them play most of it live at the below show with the Vancouver Island screamo trio as support, including yours truly, CanaDave. Sutras premiered their first single from their upcoming EP on Not Just A Phase the other day. The shoegaze driven post-hardcore sounds like a mix of Touche Amore and Jesu and it’s freakin’ awesome. Softseed Music’s next release is the Avery Friedman ‘New Thing’ 12LP, with pre-orders going up tomorrow along with the Softseed bandcamp, but you can check out some songs on her bandcamp below. It’s a phenomenal debut that fans of Frankie Cosmos, Flower Face, and Squirrel Flower should absolutely love. I’ve been jamming this for a few months and I think it’s one of the best of the year. Wicked stuff!
