The song comes from the ‘Slow Burn’ 12”LP releasing on Zegema Beach and The Ghost Is Clear at midnight EST tonight aka Friday at midnight on 250 burgundy w/orange splatter vinyl. The violent, abrasive, sludgy and dark metallic hardcore/mathcore is for fans of: Curl Up And Die, Botch, Detach The Islands, Lavotchkin, and Olam. You kept asking so we’ll just keep making these Febuary cds until demand dies down. First run was 100 and they lasted 10 minutes. Second run was 200 and those lasted 15 minutes. So we did 300 this time, and assume they’ll last 20 minutes? Hopefully longer but we make no promises. Easily one of the best releases of 2024 and one that’ll be talked about for ages. Sunday March 9th at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST.

Bloom Dream’s tour starts on March 10th and you better believe we sold the fuck outta those cds and first run of tapes so we did 100 more to help the band out on tour. This 2nd run features some swirl variants (the 1st did not) and they go up for sale on Tuesday March 11th at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST. Breakdown is: 35 white, 30 random swirl, 30 sparkle swirl, 5 test dips, and 2 bullet-hole swirl.

Tomb Tree is set to release the debut Satsuma EP ‘this is my outside voice’ on cassette March 28th! This new Michigan-based band features Dan from The Reptilian and Seventeen Again making a mighty screamo comeback. Sleep // Process had their first song premiered by Not Just A Phase before their debut release. Middle Man will be doing cds and we’ll have tapes, but as we haven’t been able to order the tapes yet I don’t think they will be up for sale until a month or so after the March 18th release. Johnny’s Reco-mmendations: CROSSED = This Spanish band’s new album releases March 21st, but we can’t put up our copies as we don’t know how much they’ll cost after shipping. You can jam some songs on their bandcamp now, but if you’re in North America please don’t cave to the pressure and buy international, we’ll have them up on the release date of March 21st as we should know our actual cost by then.

Dead Hour Noise is next on March 7th, followed by Tomb Tree’s Ashen Hands debut EP. The former is dirty and dark metallic hardcore/mathcore in the vein of Juan Bond and Curl Up And Die, while the latter is scorching emo-violence not unlike Danse Macabre and Yearning. We wanted to also let you know that we post almost daily on Bluesky (linked here) and also have a second run of Bloom Dream tapes finishing up now in time for the band’s tour and next Monday’s cassette release. This time we swirled’em!

2025 - 02 - 10 /// ZBR Fest final wave this Wednesday!

We had to bump the ZBR Fest final wave to Wednesday to allow for one more thing to run through the filter. So it’ll be final lineup, pre-show lineup, and ticket sales. Feel free to wear a diaper on your head cuz it might explode.

Coma Of Eris premiered two final songs from the upcoming self-titled cassette LP releasing this Friday February 14th, the first titled “Archers Take Aim” was put on the Operation X-Ray show, while the latter is titled “A Dip in Lake Drowning” and was just premiered this morning on Not Just A Phase. The Återstod / Meißel split cassette just released! This incredible new material by both bands (and debut from Återstod) is limited to a very small amount of tapes (77 to be exact), with a mere 40 being in the ZBR stores.

2024 - 12 - 23 /// Die Princess Die released + Canada Post strike is over

Die Princess Die has released. Storytime! In 2004 CanaDave bought the Microwave Says To The Pacemaker 2×7” comp and discovered Die Emperor Die and promptly searched for and ordered a full length from Interpunk. When the album showed up and he inspected it closer, he realized that it was a different band altogether. Having already spent the money he gave it a spin and was pleasantly surprised. So he gave it a few more spins and realized that the album was pure fucking genius. Fast forward 20 years and CanaDave was still pushing this rather obscure band when he happened across the bassist and finally landed this release. Tis pure joy, my friends. Exuberance. Elation. So ZBR proudly presents the DIE PRINCESS DIE 'Discography' with brand new art from Boris Hager and all the tracks, sweat, yellin', glitches, groove, and noise that you could ever want from a band you've likely never heard of. Only 52 copies were made over three variants plus test dips. Imagine if Indian Summer drank an entire bottle of whiskey and freaked out to Slint. Best.

The Canada Post strike over! It didn’t get the end I was hoping for though, as the government ordered the workers back and nothing was solved. Regardless, the post offices are fucking jammed with holiday shipments and over a month of backlog. Therefore I will prepare all the orders by Tuesday but wait until later next week to bring them to the post office in an attempt at minimizing lost packages and general fuckups as the postal service will be utterly bombarded.

On December 31st Zampler #24 is coming. Around 10 previously unreleased tracks and new art from Lucca Cassandra from Split Silk. Here’s the previous Zampler!

Another little update is the GreenBlueGrey and Black Nails/Sharp Teeth premiere from This Noise Is Ours. Will there be boxes from Vamonos Tapes? You betcha!
