Blue Youth tomorrow, Sutras on Wednesday!

Nuvolascura has a new album coming out in July. We will be co-releasing alongside the always awesome Icorrupt Records in Europe. It’s their heaviest material to date and oh my god it’s incredible.

Blue Youth’s sophomore 12”LP ‘Defeatist’ releases this Tuesday April 15th! We made 300 copies of this one (their debut LP was /200 and it’s sold out) and put’em on green wax, with The Ghost Is Clear Records co-releasing with us cuz they love the band as much as we do. Their new album definitely gets heavier than their previous material but retains the band’s sassy, rockin’ foundation. You can scope their final premiere in the most recent Operation X-Ray episode linked below (you’ll also find Lord Wrought and Mahria in there) for “Patient Patient”. Full release is Tuesday at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST!!!

Bloom Dream tapes are down to the literal last copies of the 2nd run, Bandcamp has a white and gold injection, while this store has a random and gold injection. Then we mad out…again.

Demersal has a new EP releasing in the fall but they’ve dropped a music video now cuz why the hell not? This song shows the band’s maturity and expansion into new genres as it isn’t just screamo, it’s also got some gorgeous clean singing as well as the heaviest gutteral growls to date, showcasing their ability to traverse new terrain and doing it well. We still have 7” copies left of their previous LP but I think we’re totally sold out of their 2024 12”.

The final Sutras song premiere went up on Foxy Digitalis a few days back and I just took promo pics for the tape variants. There’s 20 swirl, 10 yellow, 5 brown, and 3 test dips. Wicked post-hardcore with shoegaze and indie elements. Click on the pic below or this text to go to the premiere!

The ‘all you are is we’ 12”s have arrived at CanaDave’s house and by golly they look awesome. If you don’t like yellow or red you’re gonna get pissed, but for everyone else this color scheme fucking rocks. Includes lyrics insert and comes in a yellow inner jacket to really smack your senses. Avery Friedman got some love via Klof Mag for her ‘New Thing’ 12”LP releasing April 18th on Softseed. I’m obsessed with this thing and even have an upcoming podcast with her that should release sometime before the album drops in full. Absolutely stellar stuff. 2025 - 03 - 14 /// Ashen Hands out, Reverie x Put Purana 12"s

Italy’s Ashen Hands has released their new and absolutely incredible debut EP on Tomb Tree. Tapes are done at the plant and arrive at the Canada store for decorating next week, so expect orders to go out late March/early April. Fans of Lucidity, Joshua Fit For Battle, Danse Macabre, and Trainwreck should be all over this.

The Reverie and Put Purana split 12” is finally in stock. We only got 30 copies across the two stores and bandcamp so don’t sleep for too long. Wicked Italian screamo!

Shibuya pre-orders are up in both stores, and the Tomb Tree bandcamp with two songs and the pre-orders go up on Monday to give the Ashen Hands EP some time to breath. The full release is on May 2nd!

Incredible sophomore LP from this Spanish band. Their ‘Apolo’ album perked up our ears and helping release this was a no-brainer. Not far removed from Raein and La Quiete, these 11 songs go from gorgeous post-rock to intense screamo, sometimes in the same song! Full release on Tomb Tree May 2nd.

Ashen Hands from Italy have a new EP coming out Tuesday March 12th on Tomb Tree! I’m telling you this thing is fucking amazing and gonna blow you outta the water. Akin to Joshua Fit For Battle, Lucidity, and Danse Macabre, ‘Ashen Hands’ knocked my goddamn dentures right outta my mouth…and I don’t even own dentures!!! Dead Hour Noise’s sophomore full length ‘Slow Burn’ was released digitally with pre-orders of their first 12” vinyl going live last Friday. The song comes from the ‘Slow Burn’ 12”LP releasing on Zegema Beach and The Ghost Is Clear at midnight EST tonight aka Friday at midnight on 250 burgundy w/orange splatter vinyl. The violent, abrasive, sludgy and dark metallic hardcore/mathcore is for fans of: Curl Up And Die, Botch, Detach The Islands, Lavotchkin, and Olam. You kept asking so we’ll just keep making these Febuary cds until demand dies down. First run was 100 and they lasted 10 minutes. Second run was 200 and those lasted 15 minutes. So we did 300 this time, and assume they’ll last 20 minutes? Hopefully longer but we make no promises. Easily one of the best releases of 2024 and one that’ll be talked about for ages. Bloom Dream’s tour starts on March 10th and you better believe we sold the fuck outta those cds and first run of tapes so we did 100 more to help the band out on tour. This 2nd run features some swirl variants (the 1st did not) and they go up for sale on Tuesday March 11th at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST. Tomb Tree is set to release the debut Satsuma EP ‘this is my outside voice’ on cassette March 28th! This new Michigan-based band features Dan from The Reptilian and Seventeen Again making a mighty screamo comeback. Sleep // Process had their first song premiered by Not Just A Phase before their debut release. Dead Hour Noise is next on March 7th, followed by Tomb Tree’s Ashen Hands debut EP. The former is dirty and dark metallic hardcore/mathcore in the vein of Juan Bond and Curl Up And Die, while the latter is scorching emo-violence not unlike Danse Macabre and Yearning. We wanted to also let you know that we post almost daily on Bluesky (linked here) and also have a second run of Bloom Dream tapes finishing up now in time for the band’s tour and next Monday’s cassette release. This time we swirled’em!
