The Återstod / Meißel split cassette releases on Monday on a mere 75 tapes, only 40 of which because CanaDave doesn’t understand math. This is gonna sell out pretty quickly I reckon. Braininavat is the next Tomb Tree release on February 7th, but you can jam the wicked first single premiere from their debut/self-titled EP! Simultaneously chaotic and groovy, the band features members of CityCop, Lowmeninyellowcoats, Griphook, etc. and is for fans of Bravo Fucking Bravo, Daniel Striped Tiger, and Llewelyn. Operation X-Ray busted out their best Noise Rock & Post Punk episode and that sonuvagun featured our very own Lower Automation and their latest EP ‘Welcome to My Deathbed’ which we still have some cassette copies of!

This Noise Is Ours featured the new Keratin 7” ‘Death & Rebirth’ in their ZBR Roster Review series. These 50 copies are going pretty quickly (this store sold 80% of their copies in 48 hours) so if epic, noodly screamo is your game you better jump on that shit. ZBR Fest 2025 is set for May 2nd-4th with Wave #1 and early bird 2-day passes going up on Friday! Should be $60. Pre-show will be extra at another venue in Chicago. First 10 bands are gonna knock some socks off!!!

In case you missed it, Keratin’s ‘Death & Rebirth’ 7”EP released this past Friday and as we’ve only got 50 copies for all of North America I would suggest picking one up now. For fans of Via Fondo, Suis La Lune, and Nionde Plagan.

Is Canada Post still on strike? You betcha. Most Canadian store orders and some Bandcamp orders simply cannot go out until it ends. We apologize for any inconvenience but it’s out of our hands. The one thing we can do is ship via FedEx but the costs are much higher, so if you need something by a certain date and don’t mind paying extra just hit up CanaDave at zegemabeachrecords@gmail.com and he’ll let you know the new shipping quote.

Febuary cds came again. And then they went. Sold out in about an hour. We’ll make more, as well as tapes, and be sure that they’ll be ready for early May. Cuz…nevermind ;)

On Friday Coup D’etat releases their debut album ‘What Happens After the Epilogue…’ on Tomb Tree, and they’ve also got a release show with CanaDave’s Mourn Recif band, so we’ll have tapes and ZBR distro at the show! Is Canada Post still on strike? You betcha. So that means that most of Bandcamp and this store’s orders just can’t ship out. Once that gets settled I’ll blast all these waiting boxes outta here so fuckin’ fast. I promise.

We’ve got some goodies to close out 2024 including a second run of Febuary cds, ‘What Happens After the Epilogue…’ cassettes from Coup D’etat, a limited Die Princess Die discography tape, the GreenBlueGrey + Black Nails/Sharp Teeth split tape, and the 24th installment of the Zampler with a sac fulla unreleased jams and spectacular cuts! Oh happy d…month!!!

As stated we did another run of digipak Febuary cds, this time 200 copies instead of 100 cuz they barely lasted 15 minutes last time and also the band is back together!!! 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST on Friday December 6th, all stores + bandcamp. Tell ya friends.

Gxllium! 2nd/final run of cassettes for ‘Breakup songs’ came out last Thursday and shit be flyin’. Two variants are already sold out with the next few teetering on the brink. Catch the band on tour right fucking now!

Mathcore Index did their 124th Mathcast and gave Senza hella love. Watch the entire thing but if you’re short on time jump to 16:26 as that is when the Senza discussion begins. Snag a 12” below!

November 22nd episode of Operation X-Ray played a brand new jam from Coup D’etat, Mau, Fallingwithscissors, and Kid Feral - all bands we have partnered with or will be partnering with.
