Been a busy few days! Holy shit. The Vault is already shipping and Zaffle winners being contacted by the end of tonight via email about their shipping (a few have already been shipped off as well). Thanks for your patience as I navigate shipping 100 orders/winners whilst taking care of two small children. Everything will be out the door by Monday April 10th!

Life’s ‘Demo 3’ is upon us, with both stores having copies of this mammoth 12”LP. 180+ grams of orange deliciousness by way of very unique, epic, incredible, emo/screamo. Seriously, this 3rd demo has yet to be topped in our opinion, but ‘coma garden’ came pretty dang close. Full release of 250 orange 12”s on Friday April 7th (that’s Bandcamp Friday!) at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST. Promo pics coming tomorrow!

This Georgia four-piece has been gaining momentum and it has led to this cataclysmic moment, as ‘until there’s nothing left…’ is an exceptional six-song EP that digs it’s very capable claws into early 2000s metalcore and myspace-era screamo. After some semi-lo-fi material taking root on an EP and a split, the band really bunkered down and focused on writing, then subsequently did a great job of capturing those sounds and had them mixed/mastered to sound fucking huge. If you enjoyed the 2019’s of ZBR aka SeeYouSpaceCowboy, WristMeetRazor, and .gif from god then you’ll be all over this. We sure are.

Earlier this week Not Just A Phase premiered the new Long.Way.Down. single so here it is directly for your consumption. Tapes release on Monday!!!

Operation X-Ray played some Sear, Letterbombs, Crowning, and Eyelet on last Friday’s show. I reckon you’ll find more stuff on tonight’s episode!!!

Nine Hertz also gave some ZBR love in a recent podcast to Yashira. Just a correction (which was my initial mistake) that the Yashira is not their last song before hiatus, but one of the last songs before hiatus, so I reckon we’ll get some more this or next year?!?!

2023 - 01 - 18 /// Operation X-Ray Best of 2022 + Lower Automation tour

Advertising On The Channel Of Dreams came out two days ago to quite a few surprised ears who hadn’t hear this absolute gem yet. Are your ears lonely? Need some incredible/previously obscure music? Well hell yeah there ya go. 67 tapes, 43 on pearl swirl, 13 random swirl, 10 purple swirl and one halfsies. Technical, speedy, and gorgeous screamo in the vein of Via Fondo, Beau Navire, and Rainmaking.

Lower Automation is doing a run of easterly-ish dates in the US and one in Canada! The dates are below and you can go to the band’s facebook page by clicking on it.

Operation X-Ray held their Best of 2022 radio show and the final section for “screamo/skramz” was littered with Zegema and Tomb Tree releases. Some of our bands that were played: Rotting In Dirt, Virgin Mother, Hetta, Massa Nera, Apostles Of Eris, Venus Twins, Blind Girls, Anna Sage, Gil Cerrone, Piri Reis, Trophy Hunt, Qatsi, Lower Automation, and Keratin. Holy moly!

The debut release ‘Mount Whateverest’ by Ego Death Children’s Choir was set free to destroy the world and almost all of the copies are gone. 1 copy remains on the Softseed Music bandcamp and 1 copy remains in this store, otherwise that’s all she wrote! The band plays mind-altering noise/jazz/grind with saxophone and features members of Blue Youth, Library Voices, Anemone, etc. and it’s highly unlistenable aka great for this crowd!

CanaDave’s favourite EP of 2022 was Hetta’s ‘Headlights’ by a landslide. Apparently he isn’t the only one who’s lid has been flipped, because Bandcamp Daily just interviewed them! Hot damn! What? Really? New songs coming? Oooooo baby! Click on the pic or text to read the interview.

Greed Worm was on the No Echo spotlight and has their Blackwater Sniper tapes coming through Tomb Tree in February when you’ll find it on our bandcamp. You can jam their debut EP below or click on za pic for the interview/spotlight.
