Lower Automation’s new EP ‘Welcome To My Deathbed’ was just premiered by Idioteq.com and you can order the tapes now! The premiere also includes a track-by-track breakdown! CanaDave teamed up with Josh Jakubowski from Neil Perry, Hot Cross, The Now, Joshua Fit For Battle fame to do this second episode of Not Just Fading Away Like The Rest Of Them featuring Endeavor and La Quiete.

2024 - 05 - 10 /// Demersal and Niboowin kickin' butts!

Niboowin is out! Discounted bundles with the band’s debut 12”LP ‘Breathing’ are moving hella fast. Screamo and black metal meet atmospheric amazingness from these veterans.

Demersal’s 2024 self-titled full length ‘Demersal’ is out and shipping next week! 10 tracks of unique, versatile, and cathartic screamo/metallic hardcore from Denmark. Easily their best work yet! We’ve only got 25 copies so don’t expect them to stick around for long!

The Chicago Reader did an interview with CanaDave a few weeks before the fest and it came out after he arrived in Chicago so we’re just posting this now. It blatantly answers the question as to why no more ZBR Fests in BC, among other things. Click on the pic above or this text to take a gander!

Niboowin kicked ass at ZBR Fest 2024 a few days back and releases their new 12”LP ‘Giving In’, which has been in the works for half of a decade. It releases tomorrow at 9am PST / 11am CST / 12pm EST on 200 black 12”s. The band has half of them on sale at shows now and we’ll have the rest online. It’s amazing!!!

Gossip’s long awaited debut EP ‘Coals of Juniper’ released and the band were awesome at ZBR Fest 2024. 125 are on black/white 3-color stripe with purple splatter and the other 125 are on a color-in-color purple/pink/bone. We’ll have promo pics up later this week as we’re currently trying to ship a ton of shit out.

Colacon’s ‘Throes of Inundation’ 12”LP released on Friday before their pre-show performance, selling out days before in our stores. Luckily, we were racing around getting the fest ready so we ended up having a few extra copies that are now up in all stores. I think we moved almost 40 copies in one day…the last 10 are now up for sale! Tomb Tree bandcamp (linked below) and the two ZBR stores have a few each!

.22LR released their self-titled debut earlier this week and it fucking rocks. Fans of Frail Body, Gil Cerrone, Youth Funeral, and Othiel should give this a whirl…I think you’ll dig it hard. Tapes linked to our stores directly through the Tomb Tree Bandcamp below :)

Terry Green premiered their new jam “Full Lip” from the upcoming ‘Provisional Living’ 12”LP. First album in a fucking decade and yes, it’s worth the wait. Even better than their debut!

Gxllium! promo pics have surfaced with the debut album releasing on ZBR this Monday April 8th at 9am EST / 11am CST / 12pm EST!!! Some very sick variants, not many made, as we’ll only have 70. Is that metal on the green tape, David? Why, yes. Yes it is. Bad-fucking-ass. CanaDave spoke with them a few weeks back which you can listen to below.

Hawak released some of the best screamo ever then called it a day. CanaDave finally got off his ass and did another Out Past the Rings, this time for ‘Nuoc’, arguably one of the best things we’ve ever released. Co-released with Left Hand Label, not Dog Knights. I got one copy in this store and one on Bandcamp!!!

.22LR releases tomorrow, with the final single streaming on Friday’s Operation X-Ray who also played a new Lower Automation jam as well as some Basque and Pettersson! The spread is above, just 74 tapes in total!

CanaDave interviewed a buncha winners from the first annual Screamo Awards. There’s also live videos, acceptance speeches, etc.
